MEET MS. WEISMANN

ABOUT ME

Hello Greenbrier families! My name is Olivia Weismann and I am the music teacher for Greenbrier, grades K-5.

In addition to Greenbrier, I also teach music at Westgate. Prior to working here, I was the long-term substitute for Music (Aug-Jan) as well as the Communication Media Arts maternity leave substitute (Apr-Jun) at South Middle School. At South, I was also the Chorus director and the music director for the spring musical, “Annie.”

I graduated in 2018 from Augustana College with a B.A. in Music Education. I spent most of my time at Augustana singing in the Augustana Choir as well as singing and playing piano in both private lessons and the practice rooms. While student teaching, I had the opportunity to teach/direct 7th and 8th grade choir, 6th grade general music, and assist in Show Choir. Additionally, I instructed classes of K-5 general music: taught students using Orff Instruments, non-pitched percussion, World Drumming, movement games, singing, solfege; assumed responsibilities of cooperating teacher, assisted in rehearsals for large winter program.

I am very excited to continue working in District 25 this year and I look forward to getting to know you and your students better as the year progresses!
